Sweet Capsicum Sirloin Salad

Serves 4

Ingredients
Macadamia oil
425g boneless top sirloin steak, about 2cm thick, trimmed of visible fat
140g mixed leaves
½ yellow capsicum, sliced
½ red capsicum, sliced
1 c grape tomatoes, halved
½ c thinly sliced red onion

Vinaigrette 
2 cloves garlic, minced
1⁄3 c white balsamic or white wine vinegar
2 tbsp. fresh grated horseradish
1 tbsp. olive oil
½ tsp. each sea salt and coarse ground black pepper

Directions 

Step 1. Heat up a large grill pan on medium-high and lightly brush with cooking oil.
Step 2. Add sirloin steak and cook, turning once, 6 to 8 minutes for medium rare and 7 to 10 minutes for medium. Transfer to a cutting board and let rest for 10 minutes before thinly slicing against the grain into 12 to 16 slices.
Step 3. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients for the vinaigrette.
Step 4. In a large bowl, combine greens, capsicum, tomatoes and onion then top with steak and vinaigrette, dividing evenly.

Spicy Tomato Soup

Serves 4 

Ingredients

2 tablespoons macadamia oil 
1 onion, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
750 g fresh, ripe tomatoes
1 x 400 g tin tomatoes
1 L chicken stock (salt reduced) 
1 cup water
3/4 tablespoon chili flakes 
Basil to taste 

Directions 

Step 1: Heat oil in a large saucepan.
Step 2: Saute onion, carrot and garlic for 5 minutes.
Step 3: Add sliced, unpeeled tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes, chili, chicken stock
and water.
Step 4: Bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 5: Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Step 6: Puree and season to taste.

DB Shoulder Press - Great for targeting your shoulders and building stability in the shoulder joint.

Tip: sitting away from the back of the bench will help you to engage your subscapular which will help to stop winging through the shoulder blades.

Using 3 x 14-20 really focusing on the control of the movement on the way down. Keep the elbow underneath the db at all times.
